The United Kingdom Mercenaries are a JumpGate online gaming group whose members are primarily, but not exclusively, based in the United Kingdom. We welcome pilots of all races and have sub-units to accomodate all activities.

The United Kingdom Mercenaries were inaugurated by Colonel DaveG on 11th April 2000. Founder members came from other units at that time fighting in StarLance MechWarrior 3.

The United Kingdom Mercenaries Jumpgate Squad was inaugurated on 27 August 2001 by Admiral Gauntlet2. Founder members came from the UKM MechWarrior Division.

IT IS THE WAY OF THIS UNIT TO LIVE AND FIGHT BY THE FOLLOWING CREED:


It is our goal to MAKE good players, not only to GET good players. The UKM will not turn away players because of a lack of ability (in most cases).

In a battle, even when we know there is no hope of victory,

WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP

We will fight to the end with every last ember of vigour we have.

We will represent our country, our homeland, with
dignity, honour and good humour.

In so doing, to foster the promotion of The Reconstruction Initiative insofar as it is in the best interests of UKM whether Quantar, Solrain or Octavius.
