The
Second Book of Hamalzah
Chapter 7 (Continued): Roh's Battle for his Will |
|
| And
therefore did Roh let go his focus on the battle, relying on his
experience and instinct, and instead concentrated completely
on the fight that raged within his mind. And Roh battled there for
a intensely long time, or so it seemed to him. His attempts to
visualise the grace and generosity of Hamalzah where continuously
whipped away by the hatred and pain that Horridahl forced upon
him. His prayers stuttered as he saw stars exploding
before his eyes, walking the edge of consciousness. His pleading,
crying prayers for Hamalzah where overwhelmed by the din of battle and destruction. But yet, the pain began to
recede, and in a corner of his tortured mind he felt
calmness.
Far away, but there. And with all his strength he lead his soul
into that corner of his mind
away from all the tortured
chaos that was around him. New power flowed within him, the closer
he got to this peaceful part of his mind. And as he reached it
there was a bright light and peace. His torture defeated
and his soul now resting peacefully, his concious mind again noticed that he sat at the helm of his ship. And he knew Hamalzah was with him. And
behold only a few seconds had passed, seconds that he had thought
were hours. |
